  A friend who lives in VA introduced us to this place and i must say, the duck here is one of the better ducks i have eaten. When you order, you get your own personal "duck chef" who cuts the meat fresh for you. The knife work is fun to watch if you aren't too busy catching up with friends.
  
  The skin of the duck is super crispy and the way that the butcher cuts the meat is perfect slices so that the meat to skin ratio is balanced. You also get the wraps and usual sides which when you combine them: delicious.
  
  Our table got a lot of the other dishes as well such as fried rice, and some pork and veggie dish. The fried rice was really good but the other dishes were kinda whatever in my opinion...
  
  If you're going here, I would focus on just the duck. Get a couple for the table and just enjoy the duck to the fullest.

  Had to get the duck after hearing all these great things about it and I was slightly disappointed by the actual duck because it wasn't particularly spectacular or anything. Not sure if they were having an off day or anything but the duck was on the drier end and the skin was not particularly crispy.
  
  Additionally, the wraps/pancakes to wrap the duck actually took away from the flavor of the duck. Our wraps were slightly cold and had a lot of flour on them making it dry.
  
  We also got snowpeas with water chestnuts and this fried yuan bao dish. The yuan bao didn't really feel like Chinese food to be honest. The snowpeas were good and definitely met all my expectations for the dish.

  Unfortunately, this once shiny gem has really gone down the drain over the past couple of years. The last 3 times we've been, the experience has been consistently unsatisfactory, and warranted a review update.
  I still remember when ducks were $38 a bird. Completely understand the need to grow a business, inflation, cost of doing business, etc. The ducks are now $50 per and are smaller than they used to be too. Whenever the ducks come out, the skin is no longer crispy and light like they used to be. Once the ducks are sliced onto the plate, the skin pieces literally stick together and are soggy. The pancake wrappers, which I'm not sure if are still made in-house, but now come out with multiple pieces either tearing from being stuck together or wet from the plate.
  On this particular dinner, we ordered a duck, had entrees, then ordered another duck. Only a new batch of pancakes was brought out. No new batch of spring onions, no additional sauce, etc. We asked our server, who seemed new and distraught with how to organize his tasks. We didn't end up receiving additional sauce or onions until we were at least halfway through already. In general, it was hard to track down our server for anything. Also, the individuals who cut the duck - do they not know how to provide customer service? We initially tried asking our duck carver for additional sauce and she flat out ignored us, folded up her table and went back to the kitchen. We then tried to ask the girl who was over-diligently refilling our water glasses. The same situation, she didn't say a word to us and started yelling at another server.
  All in all, not only is the food consistently mediocre now, it's expensive ($4.50 for a tiny bowl of hot sour soup? Come on), and service is lacking. Some of these older servers may have the experience, but they are neither warm nor friendly. What confuses me is these servers don't even have to do much - there are tons of bussers around for water, packing up meals, clearing tables, etc. Disappointing.

  Great place for a group meal family style. It's always super packed. Definitely need a reservation ahead of time. They can accommodate large groups very well. We had over 20 people last night and were seated right away. Just have to fight your way through the crowded entrance.
  
  Food:
  Peking duck is a must. It's delicious and you get to watch them carve it table side.
  Most of the other dishes we ordered were crowd pleasing. A few dishes were honestly so so. I loved the Yang Chow fried rice last time I was there but didn't love the shrimp fried rice from last night.
  
  Service:
  Although it's super packed, the service is actually very attentive. You might need to ask for some things but they make sure you get whatever you need right away. It was also nice of them to sing happy birthday for our group with a slice of cheese cake and candle.
  
  Overall, great place for a family or large group dinner.

  The ducks here are not authentic Peking duck at all. The skin is not thin & crispy. We enjoyed the New Zealand lamb chops and other dishes more than the duck.
  
  Service was good, but at the end of the day, I just wanted a good Peking duck. I wouldn't go back for ducks.
